A Night At The Palm: An evening for Palmerston students and their families to celebrate art, science, technology and movement

Palmerston Public School has a long history of amazing school community events focused on ARTS and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). Unfortunately due to COVID and the fact that many of the families that ran these activities in past years graduated out of the school, these events have not been happening. On April 25th, the Palmerston School Council will host a ONE NIGHT ONLY evening event from 6 to 8 p.m. that brings all those elements back to the school community!

With your help we will offer our kids a smorgasbord of ARTS, STEM and MOVEMENT activities!

  • Do you sing, paint, draw or write?

  • Do you love numbers, building lego or popsicle stick towers or showing others how to take electronics things apart?

  • Are you a whiz at stop-motion or green screen?

  • Are you a yogi, gymnast or dancer?

We are looking for parents, guardians and/or community members who would be interested in offering a workshop, presentation or performance for our Palmerston students that relates to the topics above and more!

Date:  Thursday, April 25, 2024

Time: 6:00 to 8 pm

Length of workshop/performance/workshop: 15 or 30 minutes

If you have an idea and would like to participate (as a volunteer) to execute that idea, please submit your name, your email and your idea at this LINK.

And even if you don’t have an idea, you can click this LINK to volunteer for set up, a volunteer shift at one of the activities, or for clean up! Please note we encourage Palmerston Alumni High School Students to volunteer, as the school administration will sign for their mandatory volunteer hours!

The Palmerston School Council is excited to bring this evening event to the community. We can only do it with active involvement from the parent community!

Please click on the links to support the event and reach out to me directly (Details below) with any questions!
