Master Plan Donation Request
To the Palmerston Graduating class of 2022!
Congratulations to all the kids and families! You are an integral part of the Palmerston community, and will be forever more.
Having been a part of this community for so many years, you know that Palmerston is so much more than a school – it is the bedrock of this neighbourhood, where all activity centres around.
A vibrant Palmerston is a vibrant community.
Many of you know about the Master Plan (show above) in place to reimagine the playground and school premises. This massive undertaking is simply not possible without the community’s support, and the community benefits deeply from the Playground Revitalization Project.
As part of Phase A in the Master Plan we have incorporated two outdoor classrooms. The TDSB, while generously supporting other elements of Phase A, will not be covering these essential features, which has been valued at an additional $30,000 approximately.
We are reaching out to this very special group of graduates in the hopes that you will help leave a legacy for future students, and as a way of forever leaving your mark on the school that has been so formative for your child.
Over the past two years we have all witnessed how important outdoor education and learning environments are for the mental and physical health of children. We want to equip Palmerston with the ability to take our children outdoors in order to learn from, and in, the natural world. These learning environments will enrich the neighbourhood by bringing the learning out into the community.
We are asking you and the other graduating families to please consider a donation in support of this meaningful phase of the campaign which will help ensure that outdoor education is available for many years to come, for countless children in our community.
Any funds we raise over and above the funds needed for the outdoor classrooms will go towards the larger Playground Revitalization Project, which will require almost $1,000,000 of funds raised from diverse sources.

Funds raised from Graduate family donations will be commemorated in the final execution of the outdoor classroom and will honour the lasting legacy of the Palmerston PS Class of 2022 and those before and after whose resilience and fortitude were showcased during the Covid pandemic school years.
