School Council Meeting/DRAFT OF MASTER PLAN PRESENTATION AND DISCUSSION:

All are welcome to join the virtual Palmerston School Council Meeting this Thursday, April 28th at 6:30 p.m. After the Principal’s update, 30 minutes of the meeting will be dedicated to a presentation of the DRAFT Master Plan for the School Yard Revitalization. Mayfest Returns May 28th

Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 28th 11 am - 3 pm The school’s much-anticipated annual spring fair is returning to the grounds of Palmerston after a two-year hiatus.

YEARBOOK Designer Lead and helpers needed

Each year parent volunteers work together to put together a Palmerston School Yearbook

This year we still require a LEAD DESIGNER to oversee the Design and layout elements of the project. In addition looking for parents who can help with layout and photo selection etc. Please reach out to Laura.heathpotter@bell.net if you are interested and available to work on this project between now and early June.

Swing into Spring Art Contest:

Thanks to all the students who submitted their beautiful artwork! Entries are in and now posted for viewing HERE.

The exhibition runs until May 6th and the winners will be announced on May 9th.

O.P.A.L = Outdoor Play and Learning

Call for Volunteers for Master Planning Committee:

As the committee ramps up to begin planning large scale fundraising and planning volunteers are needed. Expertise in Marketing, Communications, Fundraising, Project Management, Events and all others welcome! Keep an eye out for blog posts about this topic and/or email laura.heathpotter@bell.net if interested.

***NEW*** Call for Grade 5 Parents/Families to Support Grad

It is a Palmerston tradition that the Grade 5 families support the Grade 6 Graduation with food/refreshments on the day of Grad and help with logistics. This year Grad will be held on June 28 at 1 p.m. with reception at 2:00 and DJ/Dance from 2:30-4:00. Ideally one or two parents liaise with the administration and head a committee, create a “pot luck” sign up sheet and other parents join in. • Dogs On School Property: As per TDSB policy, dogs are not allowed on school property. Please tie your dog to the outer fence if you must bring it with you when you accompany your children to school.
