Together we make an impact!

Thank you to all the families and volunteers who came out this year and contributed to an extremely successful Mayfest!  

This year, the Palmerston School Council raised an incredible ~$45K in net proceeds from generous support of the families through events like Mayfest, Pizza lunch, Harvest  fest, Culturefest, and Fresh From the Farm! As a result, we have been able to invest in supplies and programs for the school this year, such as:

• Scientists in the School programmes in the classroom

• School buses for field trips, track & field meets

• Special guest speakers at assemblies such as: Residential school educator, Roots of Empathy, YouthSpeak assembly, etc

• Special school events facilitated by X-Movement 

• New chairs and tables for the gym / special events like school concerts

• New gym equipment

• New board games and chess sets for lunch time club

• New library books and furniture

• New equipment for the photography club: including cameras

• New OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) equipment

• Supported the school garden

• Literacy and Classroom supplies

• New Mural (Palmerston Student project in main hall)

• Palmerston Parent Council, along with the TDSB and Palmerston Community Daycare,  is also helping to fund the new Master Plan for new playground renovation in the school yard
  

Our final council meeting of the year will be held in person on Tuesday, June 17 at 6:30 p.m, in the library. The meeting will be budget-focused, and we always look for suggestions on how the council allocates its budget. Click here to submit your request.
