🍂 Join Us for the 6th Annual Palmerston Harvest Fest! (+ Easy Ways to Get Involved)

Dear Palmerston School Community,

The autumn season is here, and that means it’s time for one of our favorite traditions: our 6th Annual Harvest Fest!

Harvest Fest is a wonderful evening where our school community comes together to celebrate the season, enjoy delicious food and fun activities, and raise vital funds for our classrooms.

Thanks to your incredible support, last year’s event raised $4,000 (net)! That is an amazing achievement for a two-hour event just one month into the school year, and we couldn't be more grateful.

To make this year’s Harvest Fest just as big of a success (if not bigger!) we need your help! An event like this can’t happen without the support of our amazing parent community. Whether you have 30 minutes or a few hours, there are plenty of fun, easy ways to get involved:

 Volunteer Opportunities & How You Can Help

• 🚛 Pumpkin Heroes (2 Adventurous Volunteers Needed!): Rent a U-Haul, take a scenic drive into the country to pick up 200+ pumpkins, and bring them back to the school! This is truly the heart and soul of Harvest Fest.

• 🍁 Decor Crew: Help transform the entryway and gym with pumpkins, plaid, and hay bales (all decor provided!).

• 📋 Station Captains: Keep activities running smoothly! Ideal for anyone who loves bringing people together and staying organized.

• 🔎 Scavenger Hunt Captain: Love designing fun activities for kiddos? Create a festive, autumn-themed scavenger hunt for our students to enjoy!

• 🍲 Chili Makers: Whip up a pot of your favorite crock-pot chili (beans, meat, or veggie all welcome!). The more, the better!! We always run out of chili! 

• 🧁 Bake Sale Bakers & Contributors: Bring in your favorite treats (homemade or store-bought—just place them on a plate and you’re done!).

• 🎨 Craft Planners: Gather supplies and prep a simple activity for the kids. A great fit for creative minds!

• 🎟️ Station Volunteers: Sign up for a short shift to help families have a great time (your kids will love seeing you in action!).

• 🧹 Set-up & Clean-up Crews: Quick, easy, and always full of laughs!
