Volunteer for Mayfest!

Mayfest planning is underway!

For those new to the school, Mayfest - Saturday May 30 11am to 3pm - is the annual fun fair on the school grounds and one of the biggest fundraisers of the year for the school. It is entirely volunteer-run, and we need an army of volunteers to pull it off.  

Activities include bouncy castles, face painting, nail salon, button making, book sale, henna, gift basket raffle, silent auction, games and more! Food stations include patisserie, BBQ, pizza, watermelon, drinks and popcorn.

We are in need of Activity Captains! Captains oversee each activity and they have volunteers under them to run the activity. It can be done alone, with a friend - or you can be an apprentice Captain if you want to learn the ropes for future years. Time commitment varies but is a small amount of time before Mayfest and the day of Mayfest but you do NOT need to be at the station all day.

OTHER WAYS YOU CAN HELP:

1. Sign up for volunteer shifts at Mayfest or to bake cakes or treats. One role that is always super hard to fill and is in high demand from the kids is face painting. You don't have to be an artist, just someone willing to bring some colour onto smiling faces (mostly they want to be easy things like butterflies and tigers. Plus, you can always watch some YouTube videos in advance if you're nervous!)

2. Donate used books (child, youth or adult) or games to the book sale. Items can be dropped off starting May 25.

3. Donate items to the gift basket raffles. Stay tuned for more information!
